Great Harmony Palace

Supreme Harmony Palace lies on the steep cliff outside the South Heavenly Gate of the Forbidden City on Heavenly Column Peak, Supreme Harmony Palace was first built in the first year of Yongle Period (1416 A.D.) with a construction of 510 rooms including palaces, Taoist rooms, guest rooms, fasting rooms, and so on. A tablet which reads " Dayue Supreme Harmony Palace" was bestowed to it. Formerly, in the main palace of Supreme Harmony Palace, two imperial golden images of Emperor Xianzhong (1465-1487 A.D.) of the Ming Dynasty and images of 4 following officials made of silver and adorned with gold are worshipped, But now brass images of Zhenwu ,Golden Boy, Jade Girl, Denbowen, Yangjing, Zhaogongming, Wentianjun ,Matianjun,Two Generals Water and Fire. Etc

Stationing high up upon Small Lotus Peak, Old Copper Palace was constructed in 1307 A.C. It are worshipped. Outside the palace are two brass steles, one of which is a imperial stele set in the 29th year of Jiajing Period of the Ming Dynasty (1550 A.D.) ,marking the government built Zhengnong Altar of Three Bound of Ridge Changnong and set golden image , another is presented by a official Lushu , In front of the main Palace is a pilgrim Palace, beside which is Drum Tower ,in which a huge brass bell with a dragon knob is hung . It is about 1.57 meters high and 1.43 meters wide and was built in the 13th year of Yongle Period (1415 A.D.) of the Ming Dynasty. The little Lotus Peak is engraved 4 great characters "One Column Towering into the Sky." and some stone carvings of poems written by Lizhongren when visiting Wudang Mountain. There is a brass palace, which is 2.9 meters high, 2.7 meters wide, 2.6 meters long, was built in the 11th year of Dade Period of the Yuan Dynasty (1307 A.D.) by raising fund. It is the earliest of the existing brass palaces in China. Below the Pilgrim Palace is Huangjin Hall, which was built in the Qing Dynasty, whose tablet reads "Jingzhong White Jade".
